Centrals Tournament

Hello,
Last week we went to Centrals for rugby. I was very exited and couldn't wait to play when we got they we were all looking around at the other teams and they were huge. But we stopped looking at them and just focused on our game. First we had a bye so we could watch some other teams play. It was finally our turn to play and we were playing Te Waka Unua, they were some big boys but we new that if we just went around the legs we'd have a chance. We then ended up winning by one try. Our next game was against Ashgrove and also ended up winning that too. Our next game was against Lincoln and sadly we lost, they were a really good team and I think deserved to win. Our next game was against St Martins, this team is the team that we beat in the final of winter sport, so we new how they played and ended up beating them again. Miss Hansen told us after the game that we were in the quarter final against the Kaiapo North Stags. Like Te Waka Unua these guys were much bigger than us, we made our tackles and it was a draw when the final hooter went and in the rules it says that no mater what when the hooter goes the games stops. But I don't think that the ref new that and they got a penalty and tapped it quickly and scored and then the ref said that they win. We were still really happy that we got this far in the tournament.

Teacher Conference

On the second week of term 2 some year 7 to 8 students got to go out to a teacher's conference this was called voice and choice. That is when some students go to a teacher's conference and speak about what goes on your school but the students say what goes on not the teachers. So me and Trent had to come up with a speech to say to the other teachers that were there. We all got a topic to speak about and a buddy to come up with what we presented ( mine was Trent ). There was a number of topics and our topic was science. This term we get to come up with our own science project and we get to go with a buddy. Mine is Logan and our project is "how does the shape of a paper plane's wings affect its travel distance?" This is mine and Trent's speech. My Recount

Do you now what the wahine disaster is about ? Well that's what I am going to share with you now it has been my recount and I know term 1 is over but but I still have't showed what I did so sit back and read away PS: I hope you like it and had a great holiday. The Wahine Story “Robertson Gordon”!!! I repeat “Robertson Gordon”!!! ‘The seas are getting really rough out there’, said the harbour master, you should  either turn back or risk it and  push on to Wellington”.  It was the 10th of April 1968 and the ferry was travelling from Christchurch to Wellington their were two storms raging and they were going to meet.  One storm was coming  from the North and one from the South Island. Robertson Gordon ( Captain/me  ) said “thanks but we will risk it.” I knew I should had pulled the boat around but I chose not to.
