Stanford Online Course

Hello,
For the past term we have been doing the Stanford University Online Course. Everyone in Kaupeka signed up to a math's course. This math course has 6 different lessons, each lessons had a certain amount of videos and questions. I will explain each lesson, I will start with lesson 1.     

Lesson 1:
We were introduced to the program and started to talk about how people felt about maths. We also start with a survey about where do you think you are with math. Their were videos discussing myths and showing people what maths really is. 

Lesson 2:
In this lesson, their were videos explaining how important it is to have a growth mindset and what the benefits are of having a growth mindset.

Lesson 3:
In this lesson, was all about making mistakes was good. It was showing when you make a mistake it is good because you are learning. It is also showing in maths that it isn't about speed it's about doing your best and that lot's of big mathematicians were the slowest in their class.

Lesson 4:
In this lesson, it explained how you need to be flexible in maths. Showing how numbers work and what kind of things you need to think about when working with maths.

Lesson 5:
I this lesson, showed us different number patterns in maths and what kind of things to look for when working with maths.

Lesson 6:
In this lesson, we had to find what kind of math patterns is in our everyday life. We looked at maths in dance and juggling, also in sport.
